Recipe Gado Gado (Best Indonesian Salad)

Hi guys, I'm Indonesian and want to share my favorite salad. It's called Gado Gado.
This is the most popular salad in my country. if you visit Indonesia, don't forget to try it.

If you don't have the opportunity yet, feel free to make this at home with the bellow recipe.

Main Ingredients:
potatoes (steamed)
carrots (steamed)
chickpeas (steamed)
Cucumber
napa cabbage (steamed)
eggs (boiled/steamed)
tempe (fried) (optional)

Peanut Sauce:
100 grams of peanuts (fried)
65 ml of coconut milk + 100 ml of water
5 cloves shallots (withered fry)
4 cloves garlic (withered fry)
4 cayenne (withered fry)
8 red chilies (withered fry)
1 small potato (steamed)
Salt
Sugar

Method for Sauce:
Add all the ingredients for the peanut sauce, and blend until smooth.

I am half Indonesian and have never heard of chickpeas in Gado Gado.

I think he meant peteh beans and/or green beans. Green beans being normal in Gado Gado.

Also why the potato in the satay sauce fooooods ?
Sometimes we add the potato to the Peanut sauce and of course this is optional.
We add it to make the sauce more "tasty".
 
I'm just curious where in Indonesia this is done? I've never seen it before.

It's says : "Kadang penjual gado-gado menambahkan kentang rebus atau ubi jalar kukus yang sudah ditumbuk halus untuk mengentalkan bumbu gado-gado"
