Do you have any particular 'food' that would be being chopped on it?
I prefer wooden ones but I only have veg that needs chopping up, no dairy or meat products and for those plastic is better because you can scrub them cleaner to reduce the risk of cross contamination.

Primarily looking for a board for veg chopping.
I agree with the plastic for meat/fish as can then go in the dishwasher.
 
I like the plastic cutting sheets because they are so easy to wash. They are also cheap so I can just easily replace it when it gets worn out. I have had the same ones for several years and they are still in really good shape, so they actually last a lot longer than I expected they would. Wood ones are nice, but harder to wash and not a good option if you are cutting meat because it may be difficult to get all the grease out.
