Recipe Grilled Figs with Crispy Bacon and Mint Sugar

One of the simplest dinner party starters (or 'amuse-bouche') you will ever make!

Ingredients
Figs
Balsamic vinegar
Salt
Mint sugar (recipe here)
Crispy bacon or baked prosciutto shards

Method
  • Cut the figs into quarters. Drizzle with a little balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with salt. Grill until they are heated through and sticky.
  • Arrange 3 pieces of fig per person on a plate, top each piece with a shard of crispy bacon or baked prosciutto.
  • Sprinkle with mint sugar and a balsamic vinegar.

I love fresh figs .. We serve them with Catalan Fresh Goat Cheese or Iberian Acorn Fed "Dehuesa" appellation ham from Extremadura ..

I have never eaten them grilled .. Shall give it a try with Iberian Acorn Fed Ham .. Lovely photographs ..
