Just tried this recently, and it really does work!

While it's not exactly a time saver, the big benefit is the eggs peel much easier. Just cook the eggs for 6 minutes on low, then put them in a bowl of ice water to cool down.
I thought for sure they would explode in the pressure cooker but they didn't (apparently they will crack if you cook them on high).
