It's nice to meet you all! I'm a "starving" University student from Southeast Wisconsin (USA). I love cooking, and am really excited to talk with you all about cooking advice and (hopefully affordable) meal ideas!
I would think we have all gone through that phase of making (hopefully affordable) meals. Right now members are involved in a wine recipe challenge and that tends toward the high dollar range. But have a look through the existing recipes and you'll find some that are low cost.
A peanut butter sandwich is about the cheapest thing you can do, then things like salads, soups, rice dishes, tuna salad and other sandwiches, and low cost pasta dishes. These days, meats can be expensive, but not entirely.
Have a look around and ask for comments, if you need to.
