Hi guys

My name is Zhenni, I am an expat living in Shanghai, China. I moved here two years ago and faced new challenges with cooking. I miss a lot of luxuries from home, a big kitchen, cheap dairy and cheeses and easy to find ingredients.

I found a way around those challenges by buying a slow cooker, a mini toaster oven and learning new recipes. My biggest achievement was when I managed to make cottage pie with the small space I have.

It is lovely to meet you all
 
Wow, that sounds like a very interesting country to move to.

I used to live off a toaster oven haha wish that I still had it!

Thank you. Yes, a toaster oven is handy but it is quite limiting. I miss having a big oven at my disposal, I never had to think about mini versions of food.
 
Welcome to the group. I am learning to use a toaster oven more efficiently now, my oven is needs to be replaced, in the mean time I am using a toaster oven and a roasting oven.
