Hello! I had a neighbor/friend for about ten years who was Persian. He left Iran after the Revolution. He share Persian foods with me. Some I didn't like too much, but there were a few I loved. He was taken by cancer, sadly.

I don't consider myself a chef. I'm not sure I can respond to this thread What I do call myself is a "Professional Home Amateur Cook". Always gets a smile out of my lovely wife!

Anyways, welcome to the forum. This is the only cooking site that kept me coming back for more. The crew here is phenomenal!

I said something similar to an old friend (who was an award-winning chef) and his matter-of-fact reply was, "If you're in charge of the kitchen, you're the chef."

So I'm the chef, at home anyway.
