I live in the Bay Area (N. California). Been cooking since age 20, so 40+ years of experience. I mostly cook American homestyle. Learned from my Granny, and from 3 or 4 years as a cook at a diner outside Louisville. My skill at baking is limited to biscuits. I can make pies and cakes, but require store-bought crust and cake mixes.
 
Welcome! Biscuits are about my limit in the baking department too, but I make a wicked sausage gravy to go over them. Actually, I make several different sausage gravies.
