I'm excited to join CookingBites. Thanks for having me in the forums. I think I'll qualify to be a part of your community once I've learned your expertise. :chef:

My mother considered herself a good cook. Like so many traditional home-kitchen mothers, she was gifted with imagination, and always made up for quantity. She was very resourceful, thus, always fed our large family-- and guests, besides.

My cooking is learned from her, which her cooking was learned, you can't guess-- from aunties, and her four older sisters (orphaned early). Anyway, they were full of imagination and were quite inventive with their traditional cooking.

Our family gatherings with cousins, uncles and aunties, nephews and nieces were most enjoyable around our dining table-- laid with home-cooked meals of delicious, nourishing traditional dishes I so remember to this day.

Thanks!
