Recipe Home-made hummus

I reckon homemade hummus is even easier than making soup.
1 can of chickpeas, drained
2-3 tbsps tahini paste
1-2 cloves garlic
salt to taste
lemon or lime juice
Olive oil
Whack the whole lot into a food processor and blend until smooth. Add a bit more oil if the mixture is too thick, and adjust salt/lemon juice to taste. Sprinkle with smoked paprika to serve.

That’s pretty much the basic recipe I use.

My wife loves hummus and would eat it 2-3 times a week if I made. I can take it leave it, which is why we have it 2-3 times a year. :laugh:
 
Well now the post has been moved, I can tell you that I never use tinned chickpeas. I always soak a packet overnight, then use them the next day to make some falafel (soaked, but uncooked), hummus and Indian chole.
