A poster puts up his menu board for the week ahead, a cupboard door that is a blackboard. I love that idea so much that I decided I needed it as well. I'm painting mine up on the wall next to our wall oven. This is masked with tape and first coat applied. Being its oil based coats are 16 hrs apart, hope to have it ready for our sons birthday treat Sunday night. I've got all colours of chalk waiting. I'll use it when we have friends over. Pic to follow when I'm downstairs.

It is a great idea, if you have a suitable wall space - unfortunately I don't as my kitchen is so small. I think it TastyReuben who has a blackboard. And SatNavSaysStraightOn has a whiteboard (I think).

I have an Ikea blackboard that we have on a door. Rental issues generally prevent you from repainting!

I do have the insides of a couple of cupboard doors painted - precisely because there's no open wall space in my kitchen.
