Sometimes, images upload and show sideways on CookingBites even though at your end, they appear to be correct.

If this is happening to your image, the solution is to make a small edit to your image and save it. It can be a pixel crop from the side, putting a black dot in a black area, or something similar. Some phones will allow you to rotate and then go back to where it was and save from there, but my last 2 phones have not permitted me this option because they pick up when you have returned to the original orientation and the save button greys out.

We used to be able to rotate images for you, but that feature has been discontinued by the developer who supported it. So all we can do is download your image, rotate it and upload it again, and in the process lose a lot of image quality. If image quality is important to you, you need to rotate them yourself before uploading.

The only way now to upload images and rotate them at the CookingBites end is to make use of the Media Gallery features which include the ability to rotate and crop your photos. See here for the help files on The Media Gallery
