So after my Ginger beer idea was taken by a certain @classic33, I thought I'd still share some liquid and thought of a simple Ginger Tea which I am always happy to sip on. Since I am not that great at putting together my own recipes, I decided to do a search and stumbled on Ginger Tea with a twist all the way from Indian. Why not share even if I don't have all the ingredients?

Indian Ginger Cardamom Chai Recipe
Prep Time: 1 min | Cook time: 12 mins | Makes: 2 cups

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 - 3 tsp tea powder
  • 1 - 2 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cardamom pods, crushed
  • Sugar as needed
Method:
  1. Combine the water, grated ginger, crushed cardamom with the peel in a saucepan.
  2. Let it boil for 5 - 6 minutes. Then add the tea powder and sugar to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce the flame and boil for 2 - 3 minutes.
  4. Add milk and simmer for another 2 minutes.
  5. Strain the tea through a strainer into the cups.
  6. Serve with hot pakoras or cookies.
I like the sound of pakoras.

This ginger tea looks really great and appetizing. The recipe does not look too hard to follow either. The cookies should go well with it too. Lovely photo as well.
