Knives: Ceramic vs Steel?

I'm in the market for some knives, and recently took a look at a relatively cheap Shenzhen ceramic knife set. Before I take the plunge, can anyone whose had any experience with ceramic knives weigh on on the pros and cons of using them over steel?
 
I think in the end it comes down to personal preference. I've rarely used ceramic knives but it did feel kind of strange and cool at the same time. However, the few times in my life that I've bought a knife, it's always been a steel one and will continue to be so for the near future.
