Laverbread

I bought some ready made and thought it delicious. But I suspect it's an acquired taste (although it is a umami flavour).To make it yourself you need a hell of a lot of the fresh seaweed and it's then boiled for a long time....

Never tried it myself, I have a mild curiosity as to flavour, but not enough to actually want to buy any

You may have yet - if I remember correctly, laverbread is one of those deceptive food names…I don’t think it has anything to do with bread. I think it’s just seaweed boiled down into a puree.
