I love seaweed and Wales. Never tried lavarbread. Is it worth getting ready made?
Yeah. No way. There’s a particular kind as well. Thank you.I bought some ready made and thought it delicious. But I suspect it's an acquired taste (although it is a umami flavour). To make it yourself you need a hell of a lot of the fresh seaweed and it's then boiled for a long time....
This is the one I bought. I still have a tin:Yeah. No way. There’s a particular kind as well. Thank you.
You may have yet - if I remember correctly, laverbread is one of those deceptive food names…I don’t think it has anything to do with bread. I think it’s just seaweed boiled down into a puree.I made some seaweed bagels one time and they were delicious. I thought I invented the idea of a seaweed bread product. I'd never heard of Laverbread until now.

Now that I've looked at the image Morning Glory posted more closely, I see that. I just assumed...wrongly.You may have yet - if I remember correctly, laverbread is one of those deceptive food names…I don’t think it has anything to do with bread. I think it’s just seaweed boiled down into a puree.
