leftover spaghetti casserole

If we have spaghetti left over from spaghetti night. I will put the leftovers in a baking dish and a can of tomato sauce and maybe some crushed tomatoes. Then you sprinkle cheese over the top and place it in the oven. It is done when the cheese on top is melted.

My children love it, and its a good way of getting two meals out of one.
 
We do this too but I don't add tomatoes anymore. The texture comes out sort of like baked macaroni and it has that leftover charm to it from the noodles already fully incorporated with the sauce from the previous day. I will try and put some tomatoes first the next time because of your suggestion though, because it does sound like a good idea. Thanks!
 
I think that's a great idea. It lets you avoid wasting food and ensure that your family gets to eat a good meal too. Let's just cross our fingers the spaghetti leftover doesn't spoil that fast. Spaghetti recipes are better when served then and there.
