Lifestyle changes

It's morning here. I hope to have some soup for lunch and then dinner. I was reading a blog about the cabbage soup diet which I'm going to try. I've always just done the soup but this looks appealing because I can add in some variety. I'm going to try it to see how it goes.

How is everyone doing?

So this cabbage soup - is there a recipe for it?

Does anyone here use herbal supplements for health enhancement? This is a pic of my weekly supplements:

I rotate the use of the ginseng, cinnamon and turmeric. I take one capsule of one of them per day.

The valerian and CBD I take nightly and are to help me sleep, due to PTSD I hear everything that happens at night even when I sleep ( up to my husband eating crisps in the attic) and with valerian + CBD I finally can sleep peacefully without benzodiapines. CBD is legal where I live, if it's illegal where you live I would recommend trying only valerian instead if you struggle to sleep.

Our snow is melting and the birds are singing. It will be Spring soon here in the Midwest (USA). I had a little bit of soup, an orange and 14 bottles of water yesterday. I'm almost weaned off the medication that causes weight gain. I should be done with it early next week.

How is everybody doing?

Yes. I take several supplements. I will post a list of them soon.

I'm glad that you found some that help.

Doing okay. I had some soup and a small salad (no dressing or croutons) yesterday. I'm feeling a bit better each day.

How is everyone doing?
Glad to hear it

I am doing okay too, not reaching as many steps as I want yet but good on the food plan. Seeing my new psychologist specialised in PTSD tomorrow for my intake.

Thanks.

I'm excited for you to meet your new psychologist. I also have PTSD and met a wonderful therapist last year. She has experience with EMDR although we haven't had a chance to do it because our sessions are remote for now. It's really hard for me to trust people in that field so I'm thrilled to have someone that doesn't scare me. I hope your new psychologist is great for you too!

Doing well. I ate some fruit for dinner last night. Didn't feel like having the soup but I will continue with it. Continuing to drink water all day (my caregiver calls me a fish. LOL). I will keep plugging along with light exercises.

How is everyone doing today?

I’m glad you are doing well. How are your light exercises? They are having some good benefits?

During the last two days I’ve not did many exercises, almost nothing and same for the food because of my tooth - but now I’m recovering little by little. I keep drinking lots of water though
Only had a walk earlier to breathe some spring air, it has been so nice

Yes. I am getting better about not overdoing it. That has been my problem for decades and now my body is just tired. I add a little bit more every day and it's going well. ;-)

I'm sorry about your tooth but glad you are recovering. Good job on the water and walking. It's nice to get out in the fresh air.
