Lifestyle changes

I have often wondered why people pay for bottled water. I mean, it's free (not exactly, if you're paying the water bill, but you've already paid for it). And, at least in the Great Lakes region, water from the tap is excellent.

But, I can understand it now in this context. If you have a bottle of water sitting in front of you, there's a good chance you'll remember to drink it. But, hoping you'll remember to grab a glass and fill up from the tap isn't the same thing.

Well, as mentioned before I have an ileostomy, which means I have no colon. This means I have to drink 2.5 litres of water a day, a litre more than the recommended 1.5 litres.

I use 500 ml bottles of water to keep up the count, and I drink mostly carbonated water because 2.5 litres of plain water just bores me to tears. So there's that, very decadent I know but it works well for me.

The RD thinks my diet plan is very smart and realistic for someone with my complications, and I am seeing her again on march 15. She's great! A specialist ED dietitican who knows her stuff and knows too many changes at once won't work for someone like me.
I'm really confident she and I can make this work 😍

Good news! I am so glad you found someone you feel confident about. I'm really happy for you!

Congrats, that's really an awesome feeling to have!

I have some things that while I really like my GP, I feel like I am teaching her her than she, me. It's not a great endorsement, but I guess here, having a doctor is better than not. The ONE doctor I had whom I adored, and understood pulmonary sarcoidosis left the network I am with. I would leave the network too, if I could, lol.

I've just come to think with medical: 2000 years, and they still call it "practice".

It's national eating disorders awareness week, and I can happily mention my last bingeing episode has been over a year ago ❤ with that, my BED ( binge eating disorder) is in remission.
Which means I can gradually work towards better health, and maybe some weight loss too. It would be welcome, but all in due time 😊

As long as she acknowledges that you know more about the illness because you live it ( my gp does that too) there are worse docs out there 😉

Hi everyone,

I've been up most of the night. Not feeling too well. It could be because our weather has been schizophrenic (snow storm and then sunny, what? ;-). My allergies and my arthritis do NOT make a good combo during this time of year.

Had nothing but water and Ginger Ale today. No appetite.

Did about 15 minutes stretching, trying to work my way up without causing more pain. I found my exercise ball and am trying to remember where I put my bands.

How are you all doing today?

Hope you are feeling better soon. Don’t do too much to fast.. take it day by day.

I’m sorry to hear this, I can only try to image how painful can the the combo bad weather-arthritis-allergies. I only experiencing this every now and then with my hands that I’ve broken in a car accident years ago (and I am lucky that only my hand had the worse time) and when the weather changes, uh dear, it’s painful and I almost can’t move it.
However, pilates and some specific exercises helps, maybe something more focused for you would work? Sending hugs

Thanks dear.

I am so sorry about your accident. Glad you were mostly okay.

I was diagnosed with anemia a few weeks back. I think it's a combo of that and our crazy weather here. It's about 1:20A for me so I'm going to try to sleep a bit more.

Sending you happy thoughts!
