Linking Media Images to External Site

Today I tried linking images in my media albums to an external site to show full size images. Either I haven't found out how to do it or the forum software does not permit it.

No, I was using the BB Code then highlighting the code on the post and using "insert link". But once it's posted it returns the original posted image from the gallery - see

Unless the platform you are using externally runs the same software and supports BB code, you'll need the top link.

I don't follow/understand the rest because they are not screenshots or links to your external site so I can see how they post there.

You'll only get full sized images if you use the full sized image code. The second line of code restricts the size and height (600×529 pixels) in the code itself. The first line specifies full at the very end (which can sometimes cause issues)

The four media files are reduced to 600 px wide and these are inserted into the post at that size. The link that I was trying to use was to the full size image on my site; the one above is here <https://freebeerforyorky.com/Chips/Served.jpg> but it is not accepted.

I thought you were trying to insert a link from a CB image to your site?
If that is the case, then you can only use the link I highlighted above, none of the others will work.
