I've never made my own pasta, but my brother does have an unused pasta maker! I've seen it on television and would love to make my own pasta and make my own ravioli. I always struggle to find fillings I like as many put too much cheese in or the fillings don't taste anything like it says.
Even in restaurants I had a spinach and ricotta one, but struggled to find any spinach. I think it can be healthy making your own, but how long does it take? I'm sure it's worth it though.
