I went to Penang in Malaysia last year, and tried the famous Malaysian dessert called Cendol.
Part of the appeal for me is it was so unusual looking - soupy with these green strands that look like noodles as you can see!
The ingredients are coconut milk, noodles that are jelly like in texture made from rice flour and green color, shaved ice and palm sugar. Sometimes they also add in other things like red beans (which you can see in this picture) or glutinous rice.
What do you think - would you give it a whirl if you were visiting Malaysia?
