Marguerite Patten

In my 16 years as bookshop manager I sold a lot of her recipe books. Like Mary Berry she continued to produce popular cookery books well into her old age. I'm sure hers will go on being regarded as classic recipes and plenty of people will continue to use them.

Yesterday I read the sad news that marguerite pattern Had passed away ,to many she was considered to be be first celebrity cook ,advising the British population on how to manage their rations during the war
