Fot the allspice challenge here is my Mum's banana cake which I remember eating as a child. I haven't yet cooked it myself but I intend to. Her measurements are in imperial measures, sorry.
3oz butter or margarine
4oz brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 large bananas mashed
8oz self-raising flour
1 tsp ground allspice
4oz raisins or sultanas
pinch of salt
Beat together the flour, allspice, salt, eggs, sugar and margarine
Add the raisins and mashed banana and stir
Spoon into a greased bread tin and bake for 35 mins at 180 centigrade
