I've been driving past a fish n chip shop with a sign out the front with bluff oysters out the front. I normally get these when in season. The bluff ones ar quite strong taste and the best ever I've had. I rang and ordered a dozen cooked in batter. Just got home and had them. I could go backlands get another dozen. $35 cooked. Here they are.

Never seen those in a chip shop before. How does the cost compare with regular chip shop fare? Over here you can get a full blow-out meal for two for under £15.

They are expensive but worth every cent, the minimum wage here is around $18 an hour so 2 hours work for 1 dozen. I drive part time and I charge around $30 plus gst. Gst here is goods and services tax 15%. We also get farmed pacific oysters for $15 doz, I won't buy them, no taste.
