I have three pantries; a small closet pantry, a cabinet pantry that mostly houses flour, sugar, rubs, spices, and small cookware, and a basement pantry that houses food, appliances, paperware, etc. I took off over the holidays, and to be productive, I turned an extra sheet of cabinet-grade plywood in my shed into shelving for my pans on one of the shelves in my closet pantry. Years ago, I had access to a full wood shop and would have done these pan shelves with rabbet and dado joints with precision, but since I now only own a circular saw and cordless drill, well, I was only able to produce this with the precision of a backyard deck. It's embarrassing, but it will do. No longer will I have to heft a ton of stacked pans to pull out the one I want. Tomorrow, I need to re-arrange the closet pantry to move most of the food stuffs to the basement, and the cookware/appliances upstairs into the closet pantry. That will make things so much easier in the kitchen!
