Tomorrow, LOL. I got out the door kinda late and stopped at the grocery store on my way home, so not vacuuming tonight. You know me and plans...I stick to obligations to others but not always to my own plans.
Darn, had the Kirby plugged in and everything.

I know Hoover, my dog is named after one
Full name B.B Hoover the first :)
Assuming Kirby is another brand of vacuum cleaner?
Yes. I have the Ultimate G. I bought it refurbished 10 years ago for $620 delivered in a box. Kirby's are built like tanks, stainless steel parts! I wanted a vacuum with a bag and not a damn canister you have to shake, around your face, to get it empty. It's got all the attachments and a shampooer thing too.

Yeah, Kirbys last forever, my brother bought one almost 40 years ago and it’s still going strong.

I bought a Shark about 10 - 15 years ago. Still works great. Did have to replace handle and hose once because hose cracked/split.

In the UK, a hoover is a category of appliances, much like a cooker or an iron is.
But isn't a vacuum called a Hoover because of the Hoover company that made vacuums? It''s not like there's a brand name called "Cooker" or an iron made by the "Iron" company and that's how they got their names.

Over here, we have coolers and other things made out of polystyrene that are called Styrofoam because it was a popular brand. Just like a lot of facial tissues are referred to as Kleenex because that also was a popular brand. "I've got a Styrofoam cooler with ice for the road trip" or "Hand me a Kleenex, wouldya?"

Here's what's funny: in our neighborhood, folks use this 👇

DH & I just say that "they're hoovering the yard"
This is a handy tool to have, we have one.
It will blow leaves and then you can vacuum them up and this hoover will mulch them too.
