This whole post is fringing on political, which is a no-no.

Political isn't a no no. We have in the past debated political issues at length, such as Ukraine and Brexit. Being aggressive or angry with other members regarding their political views is a no no. So long as the discussion is polite its fine. No ranting or posts which deliberately provoke anger. Keep posts sensible and factual and avoid fake news.

Politics run through everything, not least, the the subject of food, our access to it, how it is grown and imported or exported, trade deals etc.

I catch a minuscule amount of the headline, sigh internally and don’t click.

Trump organised a military parade in Washington to celebrate 250 years of the army, which was also on his birthday. I will not mock any serving American soldier, they are all well trained and highly professional. What occured though was unlike any military parade I have seen before, and I do not think they will be doing it again. Have a look on youtube, it was remarkable.

That’s so sad.
A parade on the face of it to celebrate 250 years of the army (but not the navy or the airforce ) forcing them to indulge and pay for his whims whilst sleeping on cots on agricultural centres and government buildings and turn out for an empty audience.
I bet the army never felt so valued, great way to remind people who are prepared to die in the line of duty what they are worth to him, happy anniversary

Glad I missed it. Gonna stick to reading only the headlines of American news for now.

I think the context says it all here. Its about inappropriate content. The rule is referring to provocative, aggressive political content. Talking about world affairs in a polite manner is fine.
