Hello all,

I made my first bread a couple of weeks back and it turned out well, but I would like to try the same bread with pumpkin seeds in it. What I'm not sure about is how many seeds to add. Would half a cup seem like a reasonable amount? When should I add the seeds? At the very beginning before the dough is made or do add them after the dough is made?

Thanks,

Graham

Hi there,

The quantity of seeds will depend on the quantity of the other ingredients and how 'seedy' you want it, but for one loaf, half a cup sounds about right. You can add the seeds right at the beginning with the other ingredients. But techniques vary, some people prefer to start kneading the bread and then add the seeds. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer...
