Sakura Mochi

This dessert is really popular during Sakura Season here in Japan - which is sadly almost over! The sakura petals are all falling to the ground here like a pink snow...it's pretty beautiful!

This isn't my video, but it shows you how to make sakura mochi - I've never tried to make it myself, I've only bought it when I'm out - but I'm inspired to give it a whirl!

I have seen those desserts sometimes in a Japanese restaurant, however, I don't think I have ever seen a pink version. The types I always see are green. It tastes good though I will say that.
