How do pronounce it and how do you feel it should be pronounced?

I grew up in the north of England where it's pronounced with a full O sound. In the south of England where I live now I believe it's more commonly called a scon. It does not matter to me how people pronounce it.

The best ones I ever tasted were made with chopped dates and walnut pieces, but I also like traditional ones, either plain or made with sultanas.
