Just what the title says.
I just saw a picture of cheesecake-stuffed strawberries that were battered and deep-fried, and the person sharing the photo (not the person who took the photo) said that the batter looked to be made out of funnel cake. I was doubtful that it would work unless the batter was really good, because... cooked strawberries? Not my thing.
I'd rather plug an uncooked cream-filled strawberry with crushed grahams instead. But if the batter's good--and if it cooks quickly enough that the strawberry inside it doesn't cook--then I think it could work.
Edit to add: Correction, it turns out to be "beer battered". What on earth does that mean? The strawberries were mashed by repeated strikes with a beer bottle?
