Come on then, let's see your special meal for February 14th, whether it be with one special person, a family meal where the kids didn't get the hint that they weren't needed, or a meal where you are simply spoiling yourself.

The guy from the hotel just dropped off our takeaway box.

The smell when we took off the lid was devine.

It's going to be a long wait until we can get stuck into this tomorrow evening.

We are starting the day with Hotel Chocolate tipsy truffles.

Breakfast of tomatoes on toast, Serano ham and a hard Iberico cheese, followed by raspberries and yoghurt, all washed down with fizz.

Lunch, black back bacon caesar salad.

Followed by Espresso Martini Cream Liqueur and chocolates.

Delicious looking food. Husband made me pancakes. Not photogenic, but delicious and very much appreciated.

I got so excited over the whole thing, I forgot to take a pic of the ribeye.

Anyway, my potatoes:

Those really are beautiful, even if I'm the one who made them, and they turned out so nice, that's what made me forget the rest of it - I wanted to dig into those taters!

That's only half of it, though. Once out of the pan, they got a layer of sour cream and some shredded cheese on top, then put under the broiler.

The rest of the meal was leftover squash, which MrsT today decided that she sort of liked after all, and ribeyes finished with garlic herb butter.
