I had breakfast early by my standards (2:35pm). Half a homemade English muffin with bacon and a fried egg.
I *love* thick bacon even though I'm challenged for chewing it. Doesn't slow me down; way I see it that makes it last longer! I buy pork belly in 1 lb. pieces for around $5 and then cure/season/flavor to make bacon. 'Course it comes with the skin on but Pippi and Ozzie like that. Since I'm hand slicing my "slices" are closer to 3 or 4 oz. per piece than the "supermarket standard". You can deep fry these.View attachment 124412
Leftover Bacon (WHAT?!), Pepper Jack Cheese, a hard fried Egg all on an English Muffin (my muffin is schmerd with Salted Butter)
Geez, as I look at this photo, I realize that the Bacon that I buy is pretty thick!
