Sprouting My Own Sprouts

I don't think I've ever had them. I'm pretty sure the ones I'd buy in 'Vegas were soy.
Mung bean sprouts are very common, I can find them at the regular grocery store. You sure about the soy? Those I've not seen.
I'm soaking white beans for dinner tonight, and will keep some apart to see if they sprout
Also trying dried green peas (bought recently)
Ooooh love pea shoots!

Pea shoots from a while back. I love the tendrils.

They were really long and at least an eighth of an inch wide.
Yeah that's big. Never seen anything like that.

This is what is common here, although these are from a more expensive grocery store.

Pretty much every grocery store has mung bean sprouts up here so very surprised that they weren't readily available in Vegas.

They were! The Asian stores have tubs of them.

I putine in a black plastic bag with the end open. Read somewhere they grow better in the dark. That makes sense since when they're sprouting they're in the ground.
