My mung beans are ready and it's day 3. I'll scare up some kind of salad thing for dinner. Salad is rare for me since I usually have some kind of veggie on the plate.

The white neans not (yet)

Tried bought white lima beans last year but zilch. Must have been treated in some way.

Might try pintos next.

Looking to use up the sprouted lentils so investigating the steamed bun filling or a curry of some sort.

They keep well in the fridge, just put a piece of paper towel in a ziplock with them. Leave a little of the zipper unsealed to allow some airflow.

Also fried rice, egg rolls, wonton soup.

DId you see the kedgeree with matki I posted? A variation of that would be perfect for that since kedgeree apparently originated from a lentil and rice dish khichdi.

Yes, saw that - thanks for reminding - forgot you'd posted here - think that was at alfalfa sprouts stage pre lentils. Looks really good and now bookmarked.

Remember thinking how difficult it is to get smoked haddock here (smoked haddock kedgeree is one of my favourite dishes) and went looking for online sources - found a Scots guy who does. For a sum!

Same goes for almost all the fishy things, smoked, pickled and fresh!

My pinto beans aren't doing much either and they're not old at all. Possibly some sort of treatment.
