Not that I wish to start any political debate (and really not interested in any Leave/Remain views), but I wondered if anyone UK based is stockpiling supplies/food?

I’m finding it a little odd because I mainly use fresh ingredients but have noticed on a few occasions supermarket shelves being emptier than I am used to. It’s making me a bit anxious and I seem to be buying more tins than usual, and filling up my Brexit cupboard.

So far I’ve bought tinned tomatoes, baked beans, chickpeas, olive oil, coconut milk, olives, yeast sachets and probably some other random stuff I can’t think of right now.
Also pasta! Huge catering size bags - which are extremely cheap from Home Bargains. My work colleague is starting to do the same, which is what is making my wonder if we’re slightly mad and if anyone else is doing the same?

Found a brilliant blog post/list about this and it’s made me curious on others thoughts?

I’m finding I’ve started to notice prices too (which I normally don’t). 150g of pinenuts were £3.49 last weekend in the supermarket - which shocked me! Ended up buying walnuts to make pesto instead!

If you are stockpiling, what are you buying?

I can't say that I am - I have so much stuff here in freezers and cupboards I could survive a siege! Any shortages are going to be from food imported from the EU which may get stuck at Dover. I can't see why we shouldn't still get all the stuff flown in from across the world (green beans from Kenya) etc.
