So how much goes in a batch of jelly and then how much is in 2 Tbsp of the finished jelly?

I can answer that because I used to make a red bell pepper jelly. 2½ tbsps per kilo of red peppers; or 2½ tbsps for every 2.2 lbs.
Since the jelly was in 200cc jars, there were about 12-13 jars per lot. About 1.1 tsps per jar.

The can for 1 says the serving size for 1 person is 220g. The can for 2 says the serving size for 1 person is 150g. Go figure.

Yep, it's a how many fit in the box, then the case, then the pallet, then the shipping container thing. All about the logistical confines of profit.

Side note: Had a 1 question calculus test once to find the best size, height and width, of a cylindrical container to contain a fluid that used the least amount of packaging material(s)...

No, cylinder was stated. Don't forget the volume between the objects after packing since question revolved around transport.

Its obvious. The one for one has a larger serving to cheer you up because you are alone!
