The generator (sine wave compatible) is almost ready. Should be operational tomorrow, ready for 6 days of thunderstorms. Got the oil and the fuel, but no way of getting the oil to the hole to fill it. That's tomorrow's task.

And I need to buy yet another surge protector... also tomorrow. Before long, I'll have the entire house running off surge protectors.

The power company here tries to sell surge insurance... 🗑️
 
I just don't know what is wrong with some people. An American crocodile, a federally protected animal, was recently found with a shaft from a speargun sticking out of her head and, after they captured her and took her to Zoo Miami for treatment, they realized she had also been shot in the eye with a gun, with the bullet still in her head. She's blind in that eye, but so far is healing well from both wounds. An investigation is ongoing, since whoever shot her broke federal law, but they'll probably never find the person(s) unless somebody talks or is stupid enough to brag about it.
 
They've caught people before using social media posts.
One that comes to mind is a woman bragging about the wolf she shot, complete with pic. But it was actually a husky.

So does ours, as well as insurance from the power lines into your home since apparently that's on you if damaged and homeowner's insurance doesn't cover supposedly. Same with water supply lines.

Someone stupid enough to do something like that is likely stupid enough to brag about it.

I’m generally a peaceable person, but shit like that makes me want to get that speargun and shove it so far up their azz it causes a headache…and then toss them in the swamp and let the other crocs play with them a while. 😡
