The upstairs neighbours have a fridge or freezer that (again, after a year of peace) produces an irritable vibrating noise.
Probably hits the steel in the walls and vibrates enhanced.

It sounds like a helicopter about to take off, except it never takes off.
The metal vibrating sound is not really something you can pinpoint you hearing on, but it does get annoying, during the night time in particular. It is so constant.

Last time it took them several days to fix it.

🍀

Funny, even with my earphones on the radio, I still hear it🤪

Feeling a little sad :(

I have a history of elevated liver values due to the combination of meds I take, but two years ago I was advised to lose weight to prevent Non alcoholic fatty liver disease. This while my liver values had normalised exept one.
Losing weight is very difficult for me due to binge eating disorder and PTSD being triggered by it due to my past, but I managed to lose 17 lbs this year regardless. And I really upped my excercise daily.

But guess what? My liver values have now tripled this year, while I was following my doctor's advice. I'm really upset, I don't want liver cirrhosis and I don't even drink alcohol more than once a year at christmas. I know my weight contributes to this, but losing weight is a difficult thing as I said. I hope my doctor can help with changing the meds I am on, because so far that's the only thing that consistently brought the numbers down. I will try to lose more weight, but this is very discouraging as it is already such a painful thing for me.

Edit: I just read that carbs mainly cause this problem. That means I am going to switch to eating two low carb meals a day, while keeping some candy and one carb meal a day. I hope that will help. The mental issues prevent me from completely changing my diet for now.

Not looking for advice btw, I will go to a pro for that. Just needed to vent.

Update: am going to get treatment from a RD specialised in eating disorders for help.

I hear you and feel for you.

Sending you an electronic hug. It's all I can do and remind you that we're here when you need us.

Thanks! That's what I needed. ❤

I just took a brisk walk to calm down and have decided to just wait to see what the RD says and just let it rest for now.

It didn't get as cold as expected overnight, but when I put PP out just before midnight, it was sleeting. He seemed confused by this. He has experienced snow a few times, and rain many times, but sleet was new to him.

After everything that went wrong, I made it, I signed the house contract today  3 days before my bank loan approval expired. That's it, I'm finally a home owner! Actually, the bank owns the house I'm just in debt until I'm 70! But it's great anyways! I finally have a house with enough room for everything I need!

Congratulations! Besides the extra space, you can paint the walls whatever color you want!

If your experience is like mine has been, you are making payments on an appreciating asset, instead of giving rent to someone else. :okay:

I bought my first home in 1986. I'm in my third home now. I made a profit on the sale of the first two, and my current home is worth double what I paid for it 20 years ago. Plus, it is now paid off. So, I have no regrets.

Enjoy!!!

Fantastic! We need photos as soon as you move in!

Btw this is weird and hard to explain but the amount of the cheque my bank gave to the seller is shown on my bank account, so my bank account is now (temporarily and fictiously!) 131k in the red! I wanted to take a screenshot because I thought it was hilarious but online banking security setting don't allow that!

caseydog I bought the house for 178k, I believe the previous owner paid around 70k for it back in 2014 so yeah...at this rate the house will sell for a 1M when I die!

TastyReuben please come ASAP I need help with the cleaning!

Over here, we have something called "painting parties" that new home buyers use to get all the walls painted. You invite your friends, provide food and beer, and they paint your house. You could do the same thing with cleaning.

Once you move in, you have a "house warming" party, where your friends come over to see your new home, and bring housewarming gifts -- household items and supplies.

You have to know how to milk this new home purchase. :okay:
