Beautiful partial lunar eclipse tonight - a rose pink crescent moon. It would have been a full moon tonight otherwise. Impossible to take photos without the right gear.

Having a car day today, got my car back after water pump went, $600 then I took wife's car for a warrant follow up. She needed 2 bushes replaced. Beyond me. $400 later and warrant passed. Another 12 months of legal driving.
All sorted so I'm off to the pub in a couple of hours. A different pub where no one knows me. No sky watching tonight, sky is grey and miserable. High of 7 deg c.

The moon is that bright it has my chooks confused.
Comte was one of our favourite cheeses when I could eat dairy. There's a reserve comte that waitrose sells at the cheese counter. That, Jarlsberg (red wheel only) and wensleydale (hawes creamery only) were our 3 favourite cheeses. Wexford cheddar came next.
Why is it full moon in Australia as well as in the UK? I'd have thought we would have opposite moons.

Full moon was July 16th here in the UK (yesterday) but we had the eclipse last night so it wasn't appearing full. Its almost full moon tonight but its cloudy now so I can't see it.

Its so weird! I obviously don't understand the moon in relation to the earth. We both have full moons on the same days in Australia and the UK!
