Have been watching a Netflix series about a lady chess playing prodigy set in the 60's called "The Queen's Gambit". The main character's mum was frequently sipping on a cocktail called a "Gibson", which I'd never heard of. So decided to look it up, and make and taste one.

Gibson's were popular in the 50s and 60s in the US. I'd gather that most Americans under 50 have never heard of one. I've never had one.
