Hello, Sorry to bother you folks, but, I am truly not sure of something and need to ask before I eat some tinned meats/fish. This Thursday past I went to the grocery store and bought a tin of salmon and a tin of flaked ham. For some reason I put them in the fridge instead of the cupboard, say, 5 days later is it okay to eat them? Never done this before, so I am not sure. Thanks, Lynn

Yeah, they’re a-ok. Fridge won’t bother them at all.

First of all, they´re tinned - so there are probably some preservatives in there. Secondly, if they´re unopened, nothing will happen. Enjoy them.

Being in the fridge will make no difference. I assume they are unopened?

I routinely put canned tuna in the fridge, so it will be cold when I make tuna salad for sandwiches.

Putting canned meats/fish in the fridge is fine. Putting them out in the hot sun... not so much.
