I don't buy Isa browns. They're the industry standard (hence "isa") and the poor buggers are lucky to live to the age of 2. They just lay themselves to death literally.

I can’t decide if the ‘Pet Detected’ notifications that have me getting up and down to the back door are a bad thing or perhaps a good for my health

years back, was working in the garden with our youngest - perhaps 5 at the time - - -
a crow flew up, landed on her head. she was unperturbed . . .
the crow hopped on my hand - it was obviously a domesticated pet that escaped.
we were picking out cabbage worms from the broccoli, etc - the crow was delighted at such a yummy snack....
long story 8<, the crop hung around for 4-5 days - being hand fed & lovin' it. the crow eventually flew of to ??? where.

but our youngster still remembers her crow friend . . .
