Washing Vegetables and Fruit

I would never eat raw ingredients without washing them. That is what a strainer is for. It doesn't matter if the water I wash it in is scalding hot or freezing cold. Some type of anti-pesticides and random elements has to be applied to this situation or the family(or friends) you're cooking for will end up sick.
