Well that wonderful rain we were promised for today/tomorrow has failed to materialise. It is now forecast to be cloudy but dry. Just grateful they got it so far wrong on Tuesday and that we did get some rain then.

Currently 31C here. That 's in the shade, of course. Full sun, it's probably closer to 50C. Tropical sun, closer to the earth, burn you to a crisp in 30 minutes

I must say the AQ here is much better than it was in Nevada. There I had to keep a bag, large size, of cough drops in the center console for the smoky haze that was ever present.
I just put a bunch of over-wintered herbs and flowers outside today, and bought a load of seedlings on my way into work - Thai basil, lemongrass, hot peppers, bell peppers, eggplants, and catnip. I figure I'd take them for an overnight trip in the city first then put them all in pots tomorrow, but it's supposed to get down to 40°F / 4.4°C each night this weekend. I guess they'll be seeing my garage for a few days as well.
