What are you baking today (2026)?

Your post makes more sense now.
I should check my puff pastry ingredients
I would eat it less frequently, that’s all. My husband loves swordfish and he eats them very rarely, only if it’s really fresh. Once in a year kind of thing.
I don’t like to buy things because they cost money, if I use that as the only criteria then I eat healthier.

Not all food is raised the same way.
Buy better food where possible.
Reading labels helps.

I use Pepperidge Farms Puff Pastry and have no problem with it.

My first ever shot at using whey instead of water for making bread. Since whey is only 93% water there's a spot of math required.

Grams of water needed/0.93 = amount of whey to use.

I also eyeballed in some ground flax seeds, chia seeds, and oatmeal...

How’s the taste?

Looks pretty good to me.
How did it taste?

Tastes pretty good. Really didn't discern a difference from not using whey. I didn't have the time I wanted to manage the rise so the crumb was a bit flat. Next time will be a more managed affair and I'll have a truer assessment.
