What are you baking today (2020-2022)?

From 5:30am to 10:00am I baked bread, the number for my birthday cake (tomorrow), my birthday cake (the biscuit base turned out like a stone), a swiss chard quiche for the team and cookies, also for the team.

I made olive - pesto mini rolls from a baking mix. I still am not progressing much in the bread department, so I am trying to get a feel for the right dough texture through using mixes. It helped me understand baking cakes, which I now have mastered. So bread should eventually follow.

These look delicious! What flours does the mix use?

We all have our talents, so far I've had little luck with bread. My main problem is getting it to rise, my house which is not yet isolated seems to cause some problems by it being generally pretty cold.
You can heat your oven up to maybe 85C, then shut it back off as soon as it reaches that and use it as a proofing box, at least for the first rise.

I use a little $20 space heater during the cold months.

It is April 20, or 4/20 in the US. I'm craving some brownies.

Martha Stewart and Snoop Dog have a great recipe, but there is one ingredient I can't buy in Texas. :(

Is there something like a holiday today 20th April? Linked to brownies?

It is not 20th April in the US, it is April 20th -- 4/20.

I'm not going to tell you why that matters. You like to do research -- and look at my posted photo carefully.
