What beans are these?

Petai beans (stinky beans). They are a bit smelly (and causes a bit of gas) but flavorful.
They are often used in dishes like pad sataw, sambal petai. They can be also eaten raw or fried.
To get rid of the gas (if you want to avoid that :D), let them simmer at very low heat, wait for the foam to appear and discard the foam and continue until no foam appears.

Ah ok thanks. Just googled based on that and came up with ‘Thai Stink beans’. They smell like shiitake mushrooms.
