Each month, we start a new thread called "What did you cook/eat today?" Tell what you have cooked or eaten on that day. As simple as that. The thread is simply to show what you have prepared and/or eaten because it varies so much from person to person and from country to country. Feel free to also cover any meal or snack that you have eaten during the day. If you have a photo, no matter what the quality, that would be great.

This thread is not for recipes. If you want to post a recipe (which would be great!) please write it up separately and post it as a new thread in the relevant section.

This morning we had pancakes for breakfast with the leftover batter from yesterday. Hubby had fried bananas on his which I'm not keen on. I had mine plain with lemon and a bit of sugar.

Pan fried gammon with roast potatoes, king oyster mushrooms, some strange coloured sweet corn and English mustard (of course).

As fresh as the moment when the pod went pop - Monday I think.

Apparently there are two types of sweet corn here. I got the white one. Tasted great - and crunchy.

We do have yellowish sweetcorn also (this was from a friend's garden last year):

Roasted heritage carrots, turnips and watermelon radishes with thyme. This is the 'before' photo. I just had to photograph it before I cooked it because the vegetables look so beautiful.
