There is a specialty cake and coffee shop, respecting a variety of dietary restriction, so I had tried 2 of their cakes. Poppy seed Sacher variation and strawberry and choc dairy free cream cake. I should have gone for 1, as they wete rather filling. But you know, who would leave a chocolate crust uneaten

Steak night. Bought a Wagyu skirt steak back from Spain so had that along with a ribeye from my local butchers. Served with garlic field mushrooms, balsamic baby tomatoes, onion rings and triple cooked chips with peppercorn sauce. Made everything except the onion rings.
So easy and tasty I can't quite believe it. Took about 30 seconds to make this instant Mango 'Ice Cream' from three ingredients.
I used coconut yogurt (my favourite vegan yogurt) so it's dairy free too.

It really is a delight! No extra sugar needed either because the mango does all the work.
I'll write it up as a recipe
Myself and the youngest had a blast making these rice paper wrapper rolls. I say rolls but most of them were seriously large logs and a lot of them were very wonky donkey!
Tried them as they were unfried, deep fried and air fried.
My son preferred them unfried, I preferred them deep fried until crispy and the air frier version isn’t worth repeating.
Assembly line
This is the air fried one. The deep fried one was much better but they got eaten before I could snap one!
Unfried.
Would make a nice change from sandwiches in a lunch box.

Yes, I get paid by various companies to evaluate food, service and cleanliness of certain chain restaurants. Most are fast casual quick serve places but I do some fine dining here and there.

Using the same ground turkey mixture to fill bell peppers. Assorted pickles, some vegan parveggio sprinkled. Very enjoyable.
